On Fri 6 April 2006, I was guest speaker to the Financial Planning Association [FPA] at the 'Chifley at Lennons' in Brisbane. The topic was 'One woman's courage to survive against the odds'. I really enjoyed this particular function and found the FPA representatives highly engaging. We shared some laughs and some tears as I took them on a journey back in time, when my life had been completely turned upside down. Hope gives courage to us all. I hope that the FPA members were inspired by the stories I shared about those who gave me the courage to survive. We sometimes don't know if there is light at the end of the tunnel, but my story of survival is testament that there often is.

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is the peak professional body for Australia's financial planners, representing approximately 12,000 individuals and businesses. Click Here

On Wed 5 April 2006, I was guest speaker to the Working Network Australia [WNA] business luncheon. The topic was 'One woman's courage to survive against the odds'. This was an amazing event and I met so many wonderful women who are empowered through the WNA to reach their full potential in business. I was grateful to Lynette Palmen AM for allowing me the opportunity to share my story with the WNA members. At times I do wonder myself, how on earth I did survive that journey through the communist death camp. However, I know that in each and every one of us, there lies a will stronger than fear. We can overcome the seemingly impossible if we focus on where we want to be, in my case free, and then believe that we can achieve it.

I have since become a member of the Working Network Australia and encourage you to become a member as well. Click Here
