Sue Whiteford - BSocWk MSocWk MAASW

Sue Whiteford has a social work background having attained both Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees at the University of Queensland. She has had experience working in both government and non-government organizations as well as in private practice.

Sue’s particular area of interest is

  • Relationship issues
  • Grief and Loss, where loss is the result of life experiences such as:
  • Death of someone known
  • End of a relationship
  • Change in employment status
  • Deteriorating health
  • Disfigurement through accident or surgery
  • Change of residence including nursing home placement
  • Realisation that hopes and dreams will not be fulfilled.

Sue believes that individuals have unique experiences of grief. When we are able to understand and accept our response to grief and deal with it, healing and growth can take place.
