"Thank you to all the people throughout the world who are continuing to support my sister Schapelle [Corby] who is currently detained in Kerobokan Prison, Bali.
On behalf of Schapelle, and my family, I would like to express my sincerest
gratitude to everyone who has not given up on our fight to bring Schapelle home.
It has been a long and difficult journey and at times I wonder where we find the
strength to endure but then I see my sister smile and I know that there can be no
other choice but to continue supporting her, for however long it takes.
Your letters too have given us the courage that we so desperately need to keep our focus on the journey ahead. We don't know exactly what will happen but we are constantly hopeful and praying for a miracle. We hope that the Australian Government will be encouraged by your letters and long-standing commitment to Schapelle, and that no other family will ever be forced to endure this sort of nightmare, alone and without the support from their Government.
My sister Schapelle is a wonderful individual who has never done anything unlawful in her life. She is compassionate and inspires those around her. She has held up remarkably well throughout this terrible ordeal because she believes that eventually the truth will be told and she will gain her freedom.
I hope too that the Indonesian Government will be merciful when making its decision at the final appeal. I hope that they reunite our family so that we can again enjoy the love that we share for each other; and for our fellow Australians who have stood by us for so long; and so that we can continue as a family to show the compassion we hold in our hearts for the people of Bali.
