Mum to testify in Bali Nine trial

THE mother of accused Bali Nine drug smuggler Renae Lawrence is scheduled to testify at her daughter's trial today.

Beverley Waterman was at Denpasar District Court when Ms Lawrence, 28, of Newcastle, arrived in a prison van.

Appearing in a separate hearing today is Myuran Sukurmaran, 24, of Sydney.

Indonesian police have accused him of being one of the ringleaders of a heroin trafficking ring.

The Bali Nine are accused of trying to smuggle more than eight kilograms of heroin into Australia from Bali on April 17 last year.

They face possible death sentences if convicted.
